Ola launches Roadster X series e-motorcycles at Rs 74,999: Up to 501 km range!

After having launched the Gen3 electric scooter portfolio recently, Ola Electric has now stepped into the electric motorcycle space with the launch of its Roadster X series. The lineup starts at an introductory price of Rs 74,999, ex-showroom, with five variants on offer. As per the company, the deliveries for these motorcycles are slated to commence from mid-March 2025. Here’s a look at what’s on offer.
Ola Roadster Series electric motorcycles: Design
Boasting an overall silhouette of commuter motorcycles, the Roadster series features a streamlined design with large body panels flowing towards the rear. These panels feature a minimalist design with edgy ends at the tank shrouds. Since these are electric bikes, the fuel tank essentially acts as a storage box while the battery pack has been placed underneath it. Other key highlights include a sleek headlamp with an integrated DRL strip, sleek LED tail lamp and a single-piece seat.
Ola Electric is offering the Roadster X series in five colour options: Ceramic White, Pine Green, Industrial Silver, Stellar Blue, and Anthracite. The motorcycles come with a standard 3-year/50,000 km warranty.
Ola Roadster Series electric motorcycles: Battery and range
The Roadster X comes in three battery variants: 2.5kWh, 3.5kWh, and 4.5kWh. It is priced at Rs 74,999, Rs 84,999, and Rs 94,999, respectively. The top speed varies between 105 kmph to 118 kmph, depending on the variant. The claimed range stands at 140 km for the base variant, 196 km for the mid-spec, and 252 km for the top-end model.
The Roadster X+, positioned as a high-performance option, is available in 4.5kWh and 9.1kWh variants. The 9.1kWh version, featuring the 4680 Bharat Cell, with a claimed range of 501 km range. It is powered by an 11kW motor, achieving a top speed of 125 kmph and 0-40 kmph acceleration in just 2.7 seconds.

In terms of features, the Roadster series gets brake-by-wire technology with single-channel ABS, a 4.3-inch LCD display, mid-mounted motor with an integrated MCU, and MoveOS 5, Ola’s latest smart operating system.
Suspension duties are carried out by telescopic forks in front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Stopping power comes from a front disc and a rear drum brake setup.
