Noida Lamborghini crash: YouTuber’s car hits two, potential buyer was driving

A Lamborghini Huracan, owned by YouTuber Mridul Tiwari, was involved in an accident in Noida’s Sector 94, injuring two labourers. The luxury sports car was being driven by Deepak Kumar, a car broker from Jaipur, who was reportedly taking it for a test drive at the time of the incident.
The accident took place on Sunday evening, near an under-construction building. According to eyewitnesses, the car was speeding when it struck two labourers, Dijen Ravidas and Rambhu Kumar, both from Chhattisgarh. They were rushed to a private hospital, where they underwent surgery.
Videos from the scene surfaced online, showing a visibly shaken Deepak asking the gathered crowd, “Koi mar gaya idhar?” (Has anyone died here?) when confronted about the crash.
Noida Lamborghini crash: Police investigation and legal proceedings
Following the accident, police detained Deepak and later booked him under Section 281 (rash or negligent driving) and Section 125(B) (endangering life) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. However, since these offenses are bailable, a district court granted him bail the next day without any conditions.
Mridul Tiwari, the car’s registered owner, has been summoned for questioning. The police are trying to determine if he authorized the test drive and whether he has any direct involvement in the case.
During police questioning, Deepak insisted that the accident was caused by a technical fault in the vehicle rather than his driving. However, authorities are still verifying these claims.
The case has raised concerns about the risks of test-driving high-performance cars, especially when not conducted in controlled environments. It is suggested that car owners lending their vehicles for test drives should consider signing an indemnity contract to avoid legal complications in case of accidents. Meanwhile, the two injured men are said to be out of danger.
