Jamia Hamdard’s Majeedia Unani Hospital receives NABH certification

NEW DELHI: Majeedia Unani Hospital, part of Jamia Hamdard, has been accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH). This makes it one of the few Unani healthcare institutions to receive this certification in India.
The hospital’s accreditation reflects its ongoing efforts to meet recognised healthcare standards. NABH certification ensures that Majeedia Unani Hospital adheres to quality practices in patient care, hygiene, and ethical medical standards.
Accreditation awarded during Unani Day event
The NABH certificate was presented during the Unani Day Celebrations 2025 and International Conference held on February 13, 2025, at Jamia Hamdard. The event included the presence of Prof. (Dr.) M. Afshar Alam, Vice Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard; Prof. Asim Ali Khan, Chief Medical Superintendent of Majeedia Unani Hospital; and Dr. Atul Mohan Kochhar, CEO of NABH, who formally handed over the accreditation.
Prof. Asim Ali Khan remarked, “This accreditation reflects our commitment to providing high-quality AYUSH treatments and improving patient access through collaborations with various organisations.”
