The Tribhuvan Sahkari University Bill, passed by Lok Sabha on March 26, was approved by Rajya Sabha on Tuesday. Replying to a discussion on the bill, minister of state for cooperation Murlidhar Mohol said this is the country’s first university dedicated to the cooperative sector. This university will be given the status of an institute of national importance and will have a capacity to train 8 lakh people every year, he added.
