Power Grid Corp senior GM held in bribery case | India News

NEW DELHI: CBI has arrested two senior officials, including a senior general manager of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. and a deputy general manager of a Mumbai-based private company, in a bribery case. CBI registered the case on March 19, against six accused, including the senior general manager,four representatives of the private company, and unknown others.
According to CBI, the senior general manager was facilitating and extending undue favors in processing and passing bills related to contracts awarded to the private company in exchange for illegal gratification. The accused officials were caught red-handed after accepting a bribe of Rs 2.4 lakh in Sikar, Rajasthan.
