Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched the updated Shine 125 in India, starting at Rs 84,493, ex-showroom. The model will be available in two variants namely, drum and disc, with the latter setting you back by Rs 89,245, ex-showroom. Here’s a look at what’s changed.

2025 Honda Shine: What’s new

While the motorcycle remains the same in terms of design and dimensions, it now offers a fresh palette of colour options. Besides that, it gets new tech features, and an OBD2B-compliant engine. The motorcycle will now be available in a new Pearl Igneous Black colour, besides the existing options such as Geny Gray Metallic, Matte Axis Gray Metallic, Rebel Red Metallic, Decent Blue Metallic, and Pearl Siren Blue.

In terms of technology, Honda has now equipped the model with a fully digital instrument cluster that provides key details such as real-time mileage, range (distance to empty), service due alerts, gear position indicator, and an Eco indicator. Additionally, the Shine 125 now comes equipped with a USB Type-C charging port.

2025 Honda Shine: Engine and hardware

The most significant upgrade is in the engine department. The Shine 125 is now OBD2B-compliant. The 123.94cc single-cylinder engine delivers 10.63 hp and 11 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Honda has also included an idling stop-start system.
The Shine 125 continues to use telescopic front forks and dual shock absorbers for suspension duties. Stropping power comes from drum brakes at both ends for the Drum variant, while the Disc variant gets a front disc brake and a rear drum setup.
